My dad has a 70' Chevy 3/4ton 4wd. He bought a set of 36in Baja Claws the other day. What would be the most effective way to put a 3in lift front and back with min cost. Would an add a leaf be better or new springs? I'll have pics next week.

He should trade me for my blazer!
A 3" B.L. would be fairly cheap if he's not going crazy with it. Or 3" block's in the rear and new springs/shackles in the front?
Def no blocks, and no body lift because of the aftermarket radiator, i was thinking shackels in front and leaves in rear.
Do eet! That's probably the cheapest and easiest way to achieve more altitude. A shackle flip for the rear would work, but it's a pita to grind all the rivet's out if you don't have a torch.
Ummm... if you do 3" shackles in the front that is going to anger the pinion angle.
Whats the purpose of this truck?
Did that model come SUA in the front? and if so Just SOA.
no its soa from the factory, its mostly just a run around truck for the farm and ranch, but i want it done right so it doesnt go to hell later on.
an air hammer works great for doin this, I have used this method for drop kits a few timesQuote:

find a set of 4" springs for the front and cut a hole in the bottom of the rear hanger ie lazy shackle flip and then brace the rear hanger and vuala cheap lift
Here what ive got so far, i think the front axle is a HD44 and i dunno bout the rear, is the tcase a 203 or a 205?
Here are some others and the best way to move a volkswagen body :flipoff2: :gigem:
cheapest way to get 36"s? well the PS fender is already trashed and there is no bed.
start cutting, at most you'll be out 1 fender.
