It would be nice if you had a nice set of lights and you were on a dark trail.
or you could have rock lights
I don't know how you set yours up but typically I like mine to face downwards towards the "rocks" and light up the area beneath the vehicle. Headlights and backup lights would point outwards from the vehicle and have a much better chance of "blinding" someone. It does all depend on how you aim them however.
I have a little tractor light for a backup light that works awesome. I don't (yet, I guess) have any "rock" lights. I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker, but it's definitely a pro. If the 420 were free, I'd still run it.
The back up light doesn't bother me, nor does any machine work, as I have hours of it for this setup anyways.
Main things i'm interested in is smaller and lighter for essentially the same tranny.
I would think that you are not really gaining enough to make up for ease of obtaining parts
what easy obtainable parts do you need? novak sells rebuild kits so new synchros and bearings are out there. If you need anything more serious than that I would expect to run into the same issues with the sm465.
