At the last meeting we discussed hitting Gilmer up that weekend.
I will be up there that weekend along with my dad with some land cruiser buddies. Will see ya'll on the trail.
I'm going.
Kolpecker has one empty seat if anyone wants to ride.
EDIT - i am not going out of my way to pick someone up...
leaving Thursday after work. Should be fun!
Yep it is going to be a good trip. May rain on Friday but Sat looks nice. Anyone want to go with up. Good time for people that will not make the Dec trip.
It was a good trip. Everyone came back in one piece even Scott. Here are the picture for the weekend.

Awesome pictures, awesome rigs. Looks like it was a good time. I can't wait for December!
Very jealous. :(
Looks like a good time.
Power steering kept running out, turns out I just had a leaking high side hose.
Some details of what we were able to run:
5 rigs, three days, lots of fun! Drove up on Thursday night.
On Friday we ran Jeffs Ledges, Green Mamba, Green Mamba Extension, up last exit, the short one by the Green Mamba entrance, and Blacksheep before it started raining too hard.
Sat was on the backside and we ran a trail up to the top of the mountain (C&H Trail?), then the three trails in Goblers Knob (ate my Lunch, Plucked, redneck Millionaire), then upper Slims slope.
On Sunday morning, Kolpecky and I ran Jeffs Ledges, Green Mamba, and the Extension again, this time taking the hardest lines. Was able to pull out at 11:00 on Sunday, home in Houston at 5:45pm.
Busa had some of my pics in his, but I posted mine also - Busa didn't have the ones from Sunday (he left) that I took of Kolpecky from my seat - we did those trails in record time.

After being accused of cheating (having badass buggy with rear steer) the first time up, Troy decided to show us he could do it backwards, using rear steer only. Didn't work out though.

I had forgotten about those. I think Chris took some pictures of one or two a while back also. Just another good reason get my happy ass back up there. Glad you guys had a good time and got some good pictures for those of us that are true web wheelers. :gigem:
