What Karl said. Don't bother sanding the diesel smoke metallic. If you spray it right, it will be smooth and look good. You should spend more time on the primer under it than you do on the diesel...

Its for trailer winch hookup so I'll probably just keep a charged 12v battery with me before I buy gigantic cable for it
I need to replace this propane liquid level gauge on my tractor, and it's now or never since the tank is completely empty and the fill valves are taken out. I should just be able to buy a gauge like...
Well I couldn't find what the amp draw was on a m6000 when I posted. I think I'm going to go with 1/0.
What's the smallest gauge wire that would be acceptable to use on a m6000 winch that's 20 feet from the batteries?
Easier to put the rtv on a gasket and then put the gasket in place rather than reach your hand into the engine bay where sometimes you can't even see what you're reaching for. Also in some cases,...
If you're only using it on one side of the gasket why use it at all?
Ya, don't over do the silicone though. Just smear it pretty good on both sides of the gasket.
Ultra black or right stuff is what I use.
My grandpas truck doesn't do it. If it still makes a clunk after I fix the axle shaft sag then I'll probably give up and put some stickers over it.
Ya, 3 year warranty. I'm going to try to get a new set of lockouts and then warranty the unit bearing.
It's installed right. There's no nut on the shaft, but there's a snap ring and its seated on the groove. There is a spindle bearing inside the unit bearing and as a matter of fact, the spindle...
I'm thinking I need to put another u joint in it.
I doubt it's bent, I'm trying to get rid of a clunk sound up front when I hit a bump or pot hole or going too fast down a dirt road. Ball joints are tight, unit bearings are good, sway bar bushings...
Is there a way to fix sagging axle shafts up front? I have a brand new unit bearing and a u joint that's a few months old and the shaft still sags.
Good job tate.

You don't have to take the carrier out of the diff. I know how to do it, just not sure if it's worth the trouble.
Anybody ever put new clutches in a Ford limited slip? Did it work or did it still slip? I'm going to try new fluid with no friction modifier first but I'm thinking it needs new clutches.
I don't have the tool and the cheapest package at grainger is $25. Lowes didn't have any. All they had was well nuts.
I'm trying to mount a center console in my truck but I need some sort of nut that I can stick in the hole in the floor and have it expand as I tighten it. I can't get to the other side as it is...
Flat head screwdriver and a hammer
My truck came with an ss exhaust, but the pipes from the exhaust manifold to the turbo are worn out and leaking.
There's only 3 up pipe kits that fit with the stock turbo, none of them are ss.
Sold it
the hottest my old truck ever got was 1200 degrees. And i have a better turbo set up than i did then so egt's will definitely be lower. And i don't have a tuner.
