i have a frontier front and rear and they have been good, not as heavy duty as a ranchhand but still plenty strong
just get some 1.75 .120 wall tube and some poly spring bushings for your new cross member and then all will match and you should be good

i would run a support off of the 205 also, not only for weight but also for the added torque, i had issues with breaking cross members until i added one and sharpe kept breaking his transmissions
the front output shifter should have 3 positions, low, neutral and hi, depending on if the rails were ground or modified then you can put the front in low with the rear in neutral, if this was not...
if you still have the receipts check and make sure they are the correct application.

half ton rears from the 80's, just be sure and measure cause there were a few different lengths, i got mine from a suburban, and my blazer has them stock rear also
i also took out the overload and with out shocks it doesnt act too squirly, but before the next trip front shocks will be installed
i have 52's and am running some washers it may not be the correct way to do it, but it works
