The new commuter. The F150 is killing me on gas. So far, all I think it needs is rear brakes. (probably just one wheel cylinder) I might change the plugs and change the oil.
I got a free tour of the Brune family homestead/shop too

Nice. I gotta say, it looks better in person. The fender flares aren't as flared it seems.
What's the Ford getting? 18? They aren't payin gas?
Nice to see it "stayin in the family"

18? It averages 13-14 with maybe 75% highway driving. It has almost 80k on it and might need a tune up soon, but I think a tune up on that truck only involves changing spark plugs. They give me a per diem, but its is getting to the point that I am not making anything of that anymore.
It has an OD button on the shifter.
Jimmy, do you know what the 'lock" pull thing is for next to the e-brake?
I pour concrete in the morning so there willbe 40-50 Mexicans checking it out. I'm not selling though

I think that lock thing is the e-brake release...?
Damn, my old man has gotten 18 in his on the highway (04 or 05 with 4x4 auto 5.4 3.55) and had mileage like you have towing.
Do you have the 3 valve? im not sure when that started or how much diff it makes.
Also, what about the bigger tires and edge?
My truck has been getting +/- 14 lately, though i do drive relatively slow. (speed limit give or take)

I think that "lock" lever is for locking the choke in the winter, but I'm not 100% on that. I'll ask Dad tomorrow if he knows what that was. It obviously wasn't too important. heh.

That seems pretty high, maybe if it was a 4.6. My window sticker even says 14 city 17 hwy, and that is usually like only if driving 55. It has bigger tires, and stays in tow mode because Edge says that gets better mileage....I'm going to switch back to stock mode and see if it gets any better.

I don't think 18 was a norm, just has happened before.
