Operates heavy road construction, maintenance, and utility services vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Operates a motor scraper and grader in grading shoulders, shaping back slopes, shaping driveways, spreading gravel, and other rough grading; operates a bulldozer or angle dozer in cleaning, grubbing, and backfilling; drives heavy trailer-type trucks or buses of all types; operates a hydraulic telescoping boom utility truck and hydraulic crane; operates backhoe, front-end loader, forklift, and trenching machine; performs light maintenance on heavy equipment; performs electronic recordkeeping and dispatch duties. Actively promotes diversity and teamwork in the workplace. Ensures positive outreach and inclusion with individuals of diverse backgrounds. (=be nice to the Bryan locals... ) Contributes to a safe work environment by reporting accidents and unsafe working conditions (=lots of paperwork for you!!! ), uses proper personal protective equipment, follows safety procedures outlined in Material Safety Data Sheet and participates in safety training.
