if it isn't toast you will get chatter and cause other problems if you don't add the friction modifier. it is easy to rebuild a friction disk type ls. pull it apart and slip in new discs...... then make sure you add the friction modifier. no special tools needed

the carrier bearing shims on a sterling are external and a huge pain in the ass. Just make sure you mark which side the carrier shims go on before you take them out, when you pry the carrier out they explode all over the floor and roll away.

You don't have to take the carrier out of the diff. I know how to do it, just not sure if it's worth the trouble.

I have heard that you can add more clutches than stock into the pack to make it tighter for bigger tire problems

My death 250 was extremely random on the limited slip, some times it would chirp the tires on turn, you would think it was locked. sometimes it acted open.

The Aussie locker in the front dana30 in Jason's jeep is making a lot of noise. I took a look at it and it is engaging and disengaging much too easy. I want to replaced the springs in it. I think this will help it work properly and be less annoying. I have looked on the google but can't find anyone that sells just parts for them. Has anyone had to order new springs or just seen out there where parts can be ordered?

I found a couple other sites. I guess 9.99 shipping isn't terrible. I just hate spending a lot on shipping on a cheap part.

Is there a way to fix sagging axle shafts up front? I have a brand new unit bearing and a u joint that's a few months old and the shaft still sags.

I doubt it's bent, I'm trying to get rid of a clunk sound up front when I hit a bump or pot hole or going too fast down a dirt road. Ball joints are tight, unit bearings are good, sway bar bushings look fine.
