What you're saying is very unlikely. Bearing would have to lock up to spin the race.

I can't tell from the picture, how much play is there? A certain amount is normal for axles with some miles on them.

While we are ripping on Seacrest, I'll get one in.

There is also the possibility that you are not gay. However both are pretty unlikely.

huh? yes, there are two pinion bearings that ride on the pinion? Que pasa?

Although, yes, i do realize that the actual races reside in the axle itself, that does not negate the fact that the bearing surface on the pinion itself can be effected.

yes unlikly kolpeckers, but I have seen it happen on kevin's camaro 9". Just a friendly reminder that while he has it out to check the surface to make sure it is not f*cked.

Nothing worse than replacing parts of a system with new parts to find out the other half of that system is f*cked.

there is nothing that rolls around on the pinion, the only way a fed up bearing will effect the machined surface of the pinion is if the bearing actually spins, and even then if the surface can be cleaned up there is a good chance the new bearing can be pressed on, in this case it sounds like a worn out bearing
