Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Nations and peoples who forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms." — Robert Heinlein

even if they werent, there are probably two cops and one inspector in the entire state that would know that law and be willing to say something about it. Its kinda like the beadlock law, not that big of a deal

There is no law that adresses that, or hydraulic steering, or a bunch of other crap web wheelers worry about. If an inspector doesn't like it, he can fail you, they're allowed to fail you if for any reason they decide your vehicle is unsafe. You're allowed to try a different inspector.
I dunno if it's true because I never really cared, but I read somewhere that your steering can't be welded together ie. tube adapters for heims. But again, who looks at your steering?

Thanks, I couldn't find anywhere in the law that spelled out the use of heims illegal.
What got me thinking about it was that most all major steering kits that use heims specifically say in gigantic lettering that heims are illegal in every state.

Just spliced my winch rope back together using the above link. Good stuff, took no more than 30min.
