is that white paint on the tire???

And if you're going to get hosed at the pump, might as well get some enjoyment out of it.

John did you use a guide book or something to find out about the various campsites and such?

I used several of the most common guide books that helped me find the trails. They also guide you through the trails using your trip-ometer to show different spur roads/things of interest. It would sometimes show a pay campsite location, but for the most part, I would pick a trail, then find somewhere along that trail where someone else had camped and set up there.

If you are planning on a trip like that, these trail books are a must. The atlas/roadmaps really are not that much help. Some sort of navi/gps is a must for me too.

this one is good. he has one for Moab also. I also try to pick up books at local bookstores too. they have some mor eif the history....I have one that gives the history of all the colorado mines and ghost towns..kinda cool b/c it has pictures during their peak and you can compare the two.

Hey Krebs and PowerWagonBoy, we need some pics from your journeys to CO. I need some new trails and good campsites to hit up this year. I am leaving Sep 5.

I am ready to get out of town. I picked up the camper shell today and finished up most of the insides.
