    Thinking of selling the Scout

I’m moving, so I’m looking to sell my rig. I built it from the ground up, and really hate to see it go. I’m moving to the greater Houston area, and don’t know where I would store it. I'd prefer to keep it intact, but I may be willing to part it out. Here's the specs/parts list:

    1976 Scout II frame/body
*Frame has been split and widened for FW axles and the big block

    Axles
'88 Ford High Pinion Dana 60 front
    DRW Hubs
35 Spline outer shafts with Warn flanges
    Detroit Locker
    5.13 gears
    Trussed for hydraulic steering mount
GM Dually DRW Dana 70 HD rear
    35 Spline shafts
    14 bolt SRW hubs
    Disc brakes
    Welded spiders
    5.13 gears
    Trussed for 4 link

    Steering
Performance Off-Road double-ended cylinder, orbitrol valve, 4130 clevis/rod end adapters, all necessary hoses.

    Powertrain
    Engine
    Ford 460, + .040 over
Remanufactured long block, balanced rotating assembly
Towing/4x4 cam; can provide specs if necessary
    Aluminum water pump
    Aluminum dual quad intake manifold
    Aluminum Ford Racing cylinder covers
Complete MSD ignition system (coil, distributor, 6-AL)
Propane system from www.propaneguy.com, dual mixers/dual regulators
Polished ball milled aluminum air filter housing

    Transmission
    Completely rebuilt C-6 auto (2005)

    Transfer Cases
    Ford NP-203/Ford NP-205
    Stazworks doubler
    ORD Triple Stick
    NP-205 clocked flat
    Driveshafts
Front: High Angle Driveline 1410 CV
    Rear: HADL 1350 CV

    Tires/Wheels
Grooved 44” TSL Super Swampers front; Grooved 44” TSL Boggers rear
12 bolt H1 double beadlocks, weld-on Copperhead Fab rock rings
Brand new 44” TSL spare on matching H1 wheel

    Suspension
    Front
    Coil/modified radius arm w/ panhard
    3.5” CORE coils
Lower links are 1.5” X .25” wall DOM sleeved with sch. 40 pipe
Jimmy Joints at axle, poly bushings at frame
    Rear
    Coil/4 link
    Stock full-size Ford coils
Lower links are 1.5” X .25” wall DOM sleeved with sch. 40 pipe
Upper links are 1.5” X .25” wall DOM
Rubicon Express Superflex Joints at axle, poly bushings at frame

    Body/Interior
    Full cage, tied to frame
    GM tilt steering column
    Custom 12-Volt Guy winch/switch panel
    Herculined interior
    Cobra CB
    Autometer ultra-light gauges

    Miscellaneous
    Teflon/SS brakelines
    Other crap I’m forgetting
    Warn 8000 winch

    Trailer
20’ dual axle Carhauler w/ dovetail
    Wooden deck
    Mounted toolbox
    Electric brakes on 1 axle

I’m not a super hardcore competition rock crawler, but like most of you I wanted a rig that I could wheel hard and not have to worry about. I’ve wheeled this rig throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. It’s held up great and my family has enjoyed it tremendously. It’s got all the dents, dings, scrapes, and rock rash on the body and tires that you’d expect on a trail rig. It’s not a super-blinged out buggy that will get you on the cover off CRAWL, but it’s not priced like one either. It’s a hell of a lot of fun, a great rig for family wheeling, and I’m asking $10,000 for the Scout and $2,000 for the trailer. All serious offers will be entertained.

I live in Sulphur, LA. Delivery is an option. Please PM me with questions and/or details and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks for looking!

If your hang up is storage when you move to Houston, Frick or I could probably assist in some way.

This would be sad Andy. Not so much the fact that you'd be selling your scout, but it would seem you would be without rig at that point, thus making chances of getting to wheel with you even more scarce than they already are.

Oh it's worth it, and it's a bad dood, I don't have the means to swing that right now unless Andy wanted to trade for a really little ski boat he wouldn't fit in.
