4cyl is 2 pinion and V6 has 4. Also thicker ring gear maybe? V6 is considered to be a lot stronger

Sold the axle and expensive diff an hour ago to a guy who's lifted IFS Tacoma **** a front balljoint in the middle of 2222 after he left my place. All that's left is the MSD and the 4cyl chunk.
