Wheel spacers: good bad and ugly

I heard about these and saw an install in a magazine i get called off road adventures. I thought they seemed like a good idea and they are relatively cheap. Plus i may be able to get away with getting them for christmas because they widen the stance and reduce risk of rollover

anyway, have you guys had any experiance with them and are they helpful or not really?

i think as long as you re-torque them often (like once a week) your chances are probably pretty low, but those things have the weirdest way of working there way lose.

Dont use them. Coop had a wheel fall off his jeep and hit a house while we were in Clayton, Oklahoma a couple years ago due to the lugnuts getting loose on one of his spacers.
On the 8th day god created the Super Swamper TSL and said "go forth and kick ass"

yeah and if you're wheel falls off and you fail to pick it up, they may pull you over for littering and....littering and...littering and

But seriously on a Daily driver, no bueno. Scott's fell off too on the patrol didnt they?

Not sure I'd say they're amazing when they work right. They space your wheels out and change lug pattern or provide clearance where you need it, but that's what they're supposed to do
Don't get them to widen stance or even to match wms on swapped axles. If you want a wider stance get smaller BS rims, and if you want more stability on sidehills get bigger rims (ie 16, 20, I don't know what you're running)

    edit: chickenf*cker!
