    Dodge Ram

    So...

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram that I want to modify. The only problem is it is 2WD. I want to lift it up a little, but I don't want to do anything too drastic, considering it will never be an off-roading vehicle.

I think I have decided on a 3 inch body lift with 34s or 35s on it.

Do yall know a good/reasonably priced place to get a body lift installed?

    Any better/other ideas for mods?

Have you considered a suspension lift? If it's going to just mall crawl I would think you could throw some blocks in the rear and new coils in the front? I don't have a good knowledge of dodge 2wd suspension, so maybe it's more involved than that.

Keep a few things in mind with a body lift.

Gaps between frame, body, bumpers, etc...
    Extending the steering shaft
    Hopefully no tight wires
    gas neck extension
    fan shroud (if mechanical fan)
    etc...

Personally I find body lifts Ugly... (I do have a small 1" though)

I would look at a leveling kit, they are usually pretty cheap, and will allow you to run a little bit bigger tire.

you can fit a sammy in the back of those, right? Cost about the same and would look way cooler. Do it.

what size tires are on it now, they came with three options for that package.

    245/70-17
    265/70-17
    275/60/20

you could do a 2" leveling kit in the front and 2" blocks in the rear and run 33"s?

i think you should slam it. but they do make 4-6" suspension lifts. or just gets some spacers for the front springs. AAL rear. and some mild 285's.

baby Jesus cries when body lifts are installed. Look around for like a 3" kit with new coils and blocks/aal and drop it off at Dexter house for a weekend install.

I say lose the nerf bars and put it on bags, at least drop the rear to make it level. It's 2wd, why lift it?

I personally think it looks good the way it is. But I have installed a spacer lift on one of these, REAL EASY. 3" Spacer, 2" block, take out the rake make it look peemp. Real expense will be tires...
