    press

    does anyone have a press i can use for a few minutes tonight or in the next day or so? i need to press out the old bushings in my 52'' springs that i am in the process of swapping in to the front of the blazer. thanks.

    burn them out, not even joking. Works way better than a press. Just take a propane torch and light them up until they get to burning on their own. I also really like the smell of burning rubber, so that is a plus for me.

    we tried to press out the old bushings and it didnt work, is the next best bet to drill them out or do i need a bigger press than the one that sharpe has?

    seriously, burn them out. I know what I'm talking about sometimes. Fred, tell them to burn the bushings out, evidently you're the only Brune that knows anything.

    i agree with jimmy, burn them out, but make sure you also hammer out the outer sleeve.

    i got it done today, i burned out the inner sleeve and then hit out the bushing and the outer sleeve, thanks for the help
