My buddy is driving from denver in an XJ, but I'm not sure how much I can ask from him. I haven't seen him since probably 6th grade... When I figure out when he's leaving I might be able to ask him to bring people.

if you havent seen him since sixth grade is he really your buddy? He's a dude!

If he shows up and is Greg Zennerish, you're going to be like "oh i dont really know him, he's just a guy i knew in 6th grade", and I'll be like "oh no you said he was your buddy, so you are dumb!" Again a klassic win for me!

Sure - planning on bringing the laptop and the phone is a GPS...I am sure we can get into all kinds of trouble that way. I've found some fun places by asking for the shortest route and turning off the paved road requirement. In fact, I flipped 8runner for the first time doing that on the way back from Austin years back...

I will have my Garmin, my laptop and gps antenna for it. There is NO WAY we will get lost.

2 June (Tuesday): All of us towing vehicles leave from Rosebud and College Station and head for Raton, NM. Stay at Motel 6.
3 June (Wednesday): Get to Buena Vista, CO and secure camp spot. Check out trails and try to wheel some.
4 June (Thursday): Wheel some more. Everyone else flys into Denver and drives down to meet up)
5 June (Friday): Wheel
6 June (Saturday): Wheel
7 June (Sunday): Head home

I have some ideas on trails, but I (read: somebody else can, but not me) don't want to set a schedule for that. I figure we can scout the trails out and make that decision ourselves.
