says you have a jeep... pretty sure its a jeep engine.

if its an 84 that would be an AMC not a GMC

look up D.U.I. (Davis Unified Ignition)

I think what he is talking about is the bastard isuzu engine that GM used also. I think it went in Amigo's. And then jeep was like, man this thing sucks, lets put it in cars too.

    See here:

Unfortunately that is not a very popular engine, and most people who start swapping and upgrading just swap the entire block.

Oh it might help if you told us what you are trying to do? I think this engine came with a carb. Are you just upgrading the ignition system or trying to do some fuel injection craziness?

    True,
But my plans are not to put much more time into it. I just wanna make it a bit more driver friendly turn around and sell it and put that money into making a rock ready rig. Ill save the engine swap for that

Luis had a jeep gayness like this, it was a cherokee, with a 2.8, with a super charger and pro-jection plus a cage made of water pipe welded with a mig welder with no gas and it was not flux core......

    Some things you don't forget.....

Back on topic, man this thing sounds like a tird, Stock I am pretty sure they would eventually do 55. HEI is not going to gain you that much power, maybe a hp or 2 ???? What else is wrong with it, other than that, sell it off!!!!
