    Shocks on a 3/4 ton

Alright my dad has 99 f-250, 4x4, v-10 it needs some new shocks and I am wondering what shocks I should put on it for him while I am doing some other front end work on the truck.

shocks that I wont put on the truck
    vato-zone/ other parts house cheapies
    rancho 5000's
    anything pro comp makes

truck is driven on road 99% of the time and tows a 9500lb fifth wheel 10 times a year. What would be the best shock for this heavy of a truck.

Also the truck is making some nasty clunking noises in the front end when you hit bumps. It is not the shocks because i removed them checking that first. I have ordered a new trac arm that goes from the frame to the axle(its leaf sprung) because i assume it is either the trac arm or the sway bar bushings. Anyone have experience with a similar noise with a leaf sprung super duty.

    thanks

Just get parts store premiums. I doubt you will be able to tell much if any performance difference on a stock suspension.
