Most did/do come with the 3.73. I think it was standard with the stick when it was available, with the 3.73 as an option. They don't even offer the 4.10 anymore until you get over a tonn (kodiak) IIRC.
yeah, i upped my tire size to 35's so it is more like i have 3.73's, with the stock size tires i only got 16.5 unloaded on the highway
what all did you have to do to make them fit and not rub to bad?

the 35's rub just a little(only when turned full lock to the left), and i am running about a 3/16'th inch spacer on the front
Here is a link on rekeying the front to level it out.
mine already sits level, and has the stock keys, and it doesnt appear that it is not at the factory setting(the main reason i say that is the first owner was an older lady and the previous owner only had it for 3 months and he said more than half of it he was out of town on business and thats why he sold it)
Follow up: The truck got 15.6 mpg so far after my Rotella T addition. On the other hand, the dodge's tranny pooped out on me, rather pissed me off enough to take it in, and my jewishness kicked in a little. No personal duramini for a while.
