Why don't you just get one of these and call it a day? This is pretty much where I see this thread going.

Yeah, converting a 2wd to 4wd, That is like an afternoon build. Simple.

I was going to say building a bronco isn't hard either, but didn't want to be a dick.

I was thinking the same thing. Get a different rig. With this market, people are unloading toys all over the place. I like the Cruiser idea. Those can be had on the cheap, right Grayson.

cruisers are too big... and this explorer isn't worth crap in resell right now so why not build it... and 2wd to 4wd isnt that bad... all the front end has to come out for a SAS anyways what does it matter if it is 4wd... a tranny change and it is good as starting with 4wd

cruiser only has 112 in WB 188 in long furd 101" WB 180" long...that's only 8"longer that your furd.

here some chadnutz math for you
    furd value: $2500
    axle/tranny swap/lift etc...I'm guessing at least: $3000
    tires: $1200
    time: 30 hrs say at $40/hr: $1200
    total: $7900
or w.o truck value in there $5400

    Nice cruiser $5000
    tires $1000
    time:0.00
    Total: $6000
    minus $2500 for furd
    $3500

and it you will probably get every penny spent on the cruiser back out of it when you sell it, unless you really fawk it up.

I say build the furd...we need another chadnutz thread...I'm guessing 45 pgs and no functioning 4wd.
Is someone doing squares on this?
