    Upper Tellico OHV Area permanently CLOSED

    Final decisions released today from the USFS regarding the Tellico OHV Area. The closure is being upheld.

    Check out the pdf titled "Response to Comments". They pretty much discount the environmental study that SWFWDA performed based on "engineers have differing opinions".

    Sounds a bit like what happened to Lefthand Canyon up here. Sucks. I have always wanted to get out to Tellico

    There is still an appeal period (i think 45 days?).... but don't think it will make a difference.....
