What is "tipical bent an old truck will." ?? I found one very similar I like, but it has some hail damage and is in Azle. Azle is a long way to go to find out if the truck is hammered to death or not. I think I might try to get some more pics before driving that far.

    Thunderbird will do just fine.

Talked to this guy, he made it sound like the awesomest truck ever that just needed an engine. I got some pics, hard to tell exactly but it's black and grey interior. The interior needs some help, and it' hard to tell how hammered the body is from the pics, but the paint is shiny. If it weren't all the way out in Azle, I'd just run over and have a look myself.

You may be asking or looking specifically already, but remember that not all '85 and later trucks are EFI...

The white one chris posted got flagged, that is annoying. I'm thinking it's someone that wanted it and has too much time on their hands.

Eric, I have the technology to make anything fuel infected. If Scott can make one run in his buggy, I can make one run in a real truck!

I'm about to give up on it and buy whatever cheap truck I find that is running.

"Technology"? Or "nothing better to do with your time than to"?

I have a wrecked 22re truck with complete everything, and another working model in the driveway. I also have more time than money.

I'm also open to suggestions. I'm selling the fiance's Stratus, hoping to get ~4K. So this is my upper limit for budget, I'd like to spend less. I would like something I can haul the dog around in the back and not care if he gets it muddy. I would also like this to get at least 20 mpg. It would be cool if I could tow the boat with it a few miles across town, but not completely necessary. 4x4 would be neat, but also not necessary. It must have AC or the ability to "AC-ify" it, and let's say make it to Houston and back if I had to. If you have any other ideas, I'm all ears.
