edit: How much should I expect to pay for a windshield? Can I get a windshield off of any 73-79 ford truck?

You ever tried to remove and replace one yourself? I have tried to remove some fronts and I always mess them up. I'd go to a shop and have it done

I've done a little reading on driveshaft components since I need to get a new driveshaft for the rear. The yoke on my transfer case is a double cardan, and the yoke on the diff is just a single.

The u-joint that goes on the driveshaft that connects into the 9 inch has caps that measure 1 1/16" (1310??)

    Driveshaft length = roughly 46"

My current driveshaft is donezo and needs to be rebuilt. They want something like $400, so if I can find a brand new one for cheaper that will fit with everything the way it is right now, then

    Where should I start looking?

Or come get mine for $50

And i may be mistaken but i thought 78/79 were 1330 and the early bronco where 1310

You may be right. I'm only guessing 1310 since the diameter of the trunnions is 1 1/16".

    @ Colman.

It needs to be retubed since the tubing is bent. Then the front (double cardan on t-case) needs a new yoke. The rear slip-member past the splined part of the driveshaft also needs to be replaced.

For $220, that's not a bad upgrade.. Everything underneath this truck is old and stock.

    Thanks for the link Travis.

    edit:
After looking at this a little more, these are the dimensions I found that came with the rear driveshaft.
    3 7/8 x 37 1/4 x 3 7/8

Is that yoke size x length x yoke size??

Just wanting to check mine out and get it measured first before I go ahead and place the order.

Hp i forgot to look on Friday, but I'll look for the buckets tomorrow after work. Also some 78's came with 1310's big nasty was a 1310 truck. To my knowledge all 79's had 1330's.
