now my question is, are some of those holes supposed to be oblong? or is that a result of the broken pins? and any ideas on how to get the broken parts of the pins out of there?

Jackassic might be able to shed some light on this one. He blew up a drop in that bad or worse awhile back.

Mine was close, but I broke all four pins in half and one got jambed in caddy wompus. Lucky for me, it was in a slot where I could get a punch in behind it.

Those slots should be oval but they may still be a little chewed up. I would think that the pins would harder and more brittle than the locker. I bet drilling them would be out of the question.

You might try heating it with a torch, but then you stand the chance of changing the temper of the locker.

Another choice would be to try and weld on the broken pin. then when you have it built up enough, put a nut on the end and weld the nut to the pin. that would give you something to pry on.
