    Off-roading NZ

    Picked up a cheap 4wd.
It is a 1993 Mazda Proceed Marvie, all stock.
It seems like a nice little toy. Anyone know anything about these? From my understanding they are the Mazda b-series running gear and frame with a different body.

Picked it up yesterday and the first trip out was today. Took it to Red-Rocks trail. Got stuck once but a 5 min dig out and some wood and we were good to go. Pics.

I know nothing about this thing or any mazdas for that matter. If you want to know about the axles then I can snap a pic later. BTW they are 6 lug (are they toy axles?) Got some more pics of the trail today and the mazda. Post them up later.

Guess they figured they had to do something with it when they installed those mini WestCoast mirrors on there....

That goofy mirror is required over here for any vehicle longer than a certain meter length (don't know the exact number). I do agree it is stupid though.

No one here knows about Mazdas?

I went to the part store yesterday to find out that it is basically a 2.6L Ford Bravo/Courier. Interesting, I will have to research it a bit.

    Name the axles.
The front has a strange vacuum disconnect which is called the "remote free wheel mode". I am having some problems with it. It is supposed to changed to locked when in 4wd, but it only sometimes is engaging for me. Any ideas, I heard the solenoids can go bad.

    As promised:
A few going up "Hells Gate", a very intimidating name for a tame obstacle.
And getting stuck, 5 mins digging out and some wood and we were good.
