I agree. That does suck. I will check my stuff to be double sure but I'm pretty sure I don't have anything extra.

Yep, made it back by 1.

I'm pretty damn proud of my bronco. I wheeled the **** out of it (especially after dark and many beers) and it drove home just fine. I think for what it is, it did damn well.

We were planning on returning it right before we left, but once we got all loaded up, everyone was already gone so.....

He gave it to me to return to you... You want me to give it to someone at the next TAMOR meeting or something?

Got the rear diff apart on the Honda. The pinion bearing let go. The pinion gear is still intact, but could be replaced. It needs bearings/seals/pinion probably. Guy on eBay in La. will rebuilt it with new Honda bearings/seals and good used ring/pinion for $350ish. $220 if it doesn't need the r/p. Will be deleting all of the rear drum stuff as well when I get it back together.

The motor runs great and it has plenty of power for me. Say I spent $350 on the rear diff, another $250 on a disc brake conv. for the front, another $200 or so used 12" wheels/tires that the disc brake swap requires and I have another 800 in it. Way more than I want to spend on it as a beater ATV, but way cheaper than a new one.

There are some ATV junk yards in Houston. Don't see how you can't fix the rear end yourself. Lot of shipping to CA and back. I have a set of 25s on 12s, Kawasaki Brute Force wheels, 90% tread at least.

La. = Louisiana and I only pay to get it there. The bearing/seal kit I need will run around $90 and it would not include everything I need. Still think I might do it myself. Any junkyard rear end will probably be in similiar shape. This is apparently a pretty common problem with the Honda diffs. Got offered a 00ish Rancher with smoking motor but recently rebuilt rear for $500. I think the rears are different though.

Got the Honda back togther. If you ever need a Honda diff, search David Ham Auto Care out of Louisiana. I sent him mine, he send me a rebuilt one. Got it all back together and removed all of the rear brake stuff Runs and drive great. Going to do the disc brakes and then I will need some 25" tires for some 12" wheels, for a 4 lug Honda bolt pattern
