    Project 3 Grand Cherokee

    Started off 100% stock 96 ZJ Limited 5.2L w/ a fried trans $800..

    Since i used to work at the jeep dealer i got the trans rebuilt for $450



    added a 4.5" lift

    got to break in the new welder on some well needed sliders and rear bumper... and took a little off the edges

    Looks really good, nice work over the break.

    On the front bumper skidplate do you have any bracing that attaches the back of the skid plate to keep it from bending when you hit something? If so you will need to.

    I like it. Can the rear wheels contact the rear bumper? If so, be careful, Tommy (not mayfield, the other one) made something like that for his cherokee and the wheels contacted and it bent the f' off. Although yours looks beefier.

    Thanks! i have a lot more things i wanna do to it.. including beef up the front bumper skid and decice if i should keep my winch on a cradle or just put it in the bumper. Then a rear locker and throw in my HP 30 i got for nothing.

    Karl the rear bumper clears the tire since i trimmed the fenders and made the bumper to that length. i put that into consideration when making it

    I did the same thing with mine, the one Karl was talking about. I placed the piece of square tube even with the edge of the fender well, but that didn't work out so well, had to take it off halfway through a run. You might want to double check it.

    started the jeep up for the first time since our last meeting.. went over behind sam's and found a good rock to flex out on and ive got more than enough room in the rear.... plus ill be addin my 1.25 coil spacers this weekend to try and fix my gangster lean
