You still have the original 6 cylinder right? I'm thinking with how little power it makes, the Detroit won't be bothersome.

Correct, the original 235 inline six.

    These are the published numbers:

    Maximum Brake Horsepower: 140 @ 4200 RPM

    Maximum Torque Lbs.Ft. @ RPM: 210 @ 2400

I don't think they are anywhere close.

With how long the wheel base is on this truck I don't see the locker causing too many problems. I guess worse case scenario is I try it for a while and if it sucks tear the two third members apart and combine the two. I think I could swap the open carrier I have into it if I had to. Any thoughts? It looks like there is some pitting on the ring gear but I'm not sure of the condition of my current 4.57 gears.....they could look the same or worse. Would you spend money on this gear set?

    Depends, how much is shipping?

It's a few hour drive, so no shipping. I think I can get the axle for a few hundred dollars.

I got the bed in high build primer sealer this weekend. Three coats and then finished sanding up to 500-grit. I'll try to get some pics of the current coat but it looks really nice and should laydown nicely after two coats of black primer and three coats of color. I did get a test panel shot in color and am really happy with the selection. I'll try to get some pics of the test panel as well.

The cab still needs some body work on the rear quarters and about a days worth of finish sanding to prep for the high build primer sealer. It looks like rain next weekend so I should have time to finish the body work on the cab before the next nice stretch of weather for paint. Paint should be done in the next 3-4 weeks and then re-assembly can begin.

Wow! That's going to be cool when it's all done.

Thanks Dave. It has taken many hours of work to get it to this point.
