Ok, had to retreat and regroup. Will try to assault in the morning....
(Had second animal come down with summer pneumonia, the first didn't live long enough to get treatment. The calf seems to be doing better after four big syringes of the good stuff. By good stuff, I mean the expensive **** the vet gives them when he gets called out on a Saturday afternoon.)
How was the it? I want to go in a couple of weekends.

I had a good time. I rode down with ed and rode in his rumble seat until Karl got there and then i got in his jeep. It was just Karl jeep and the beast. We rode trails for a few hours and then sat in the river for a bit before heading home. The park was pretty empty but there was still some ass at the beach. Conditions were pretty dry on the roads (dusty) but still plenty of spots to get stupid stuck on the trails if you wanted to get in the mud.

Just for you JB, I stopped at a trail head and said "this is where the klogger died after I pulled JB out 3 times", we went down the trail, Sparling and I waited for like 10 minutes before turning around to find Ed and his brother winching themselves out of a mud hole. After getting him out I asked Ed if he could do the rest of the trail, he asked what the rest was like? I told him I didn't know because I had never successfully got to the other side....
We did make it all the way thru.
There is an event there next weekend (the 22nd), A couple of us are thinking of going on the 29th.

It turned into a decent day trip. Toasted my starter trying to keep the truck running. The carb needs adjusting, so going to have to figure that out somehow. It was almost miserable riding around with the 'heater holes' in the floorboard, as Brady and I pretty much roasted our legs. I say almost, becuasue DSO has this amazing thing called a beach, with sand and cool water and all! It's freakin awesome to go float in when you just sweated 5 gallons out on the trail.... (oh, and the scenery at said beach is not too shabby either )
This is where I wanted to get out and strangle Karl after fighting the heat, motor that didn't want to stay running and a hydraulic clutch that was starting to revolt (need to wrap the slave cylinder in a starter wrap I guess).
I may try to make the 29th trip if I can get some issues worked out. Brady really liked the place once he found out about the beach. Maybe I can get the oven holes covered up by then...
June 29th, Ambien walrus, let's do this!
