    I have a similar source....

My experience in buying bottles off of craigslist, etc... has been just go buy it from the welding store. People don't sell used bottles that the inspection is up to date on.

I got a acetylene tank re-certified last month for $25 so it is not too big of deal if you get a good deal on a used bottle that is out of date.

that is also assuming that the used bottle is in good enough shape to recert, just make sure there is not pitting from rust and you should be good to go

I got a complete, oxy-acet set up off craigslist for $150 last year with 130cf bottles. There are deals to be had. I also got my 10lb Co2 tank re-certed a few months back and it was $20 or so. Just thought one of you guys might have a smaller bottle sitting around or wanted to jump up a size.

I am not paying $350 for a bottle from a store. There are 130cf bottles on Dallas craigslist for $150 I just don't want one that large. I guess I'll just keep watching the net and jump on the next one I see.
