    drivetrain combo in red cj

so i'm throwing around the idea of the drivetrain for the red cj ive had since hs. it is currently in a bunch of pieces
i have an efi stroker 4.7 and nv3550 and d300 for the drive train. i have a set of 32's i'm going to run on either stock springs or 2.5" ome springs. i'm trying to determine what gears i should have in the axles. I have a set of wide track with 4.10 and another with either 3.07 oe 3.31. don't remember which. looking for a mall crawler as i have the black cj for crawling. what axle ratio would yall run with the healthy stroker with the rvo6b cam and the overdrive 5 speed.
Red 81 CJ5, 35's, 4.10 and detroit, 4 to 1 dana 300, tbi efi, flat belly, cage, chromos and auzzie in front... sometimes runs. body damage to come

3.31, I am guessing this will put highway rpm's around 2k, but still have some ass down low. Not sure it matters, because I would not want to be in your CJ or any CJ for that matter at highway speeds.

What ratio is already in it? If it was me, I would leave whichever ratio is already installed and give it a try.

What type of driving are you building this for? Cruising around town or commuting down the highway?

they came with t5's factory but that is a smaller transmission. i haven't test fit the 3550 yet. i know it has been done before in cj's with 4.0 swaps. there is currently no drivetrain or axles installed and all 4 springs are bent and the front of the frame is cracked in several places. hence the complete rebuild. i keep hesitating between restoration for driving around town (including hwy) i would like to drive the 90 miles to my ranch or to galveston or other places that aren't to far. The body is still in good shape so it is restorable. i'm deciding now if i want to find a new frame or try and fix this one.

One of my biggest regrets on my jeep is not building my own frame. I cut my frame under the seats and rebuilt it from there (due to cracks.). Eventually i will probably rebuild the front half of the frame or start over again.

Well the wt d30 I have is 3.31 and I picked up a wide track 1986 d44 with 2.73. So it looks like I will be rearing something. Probably start the restoration in about 3 months. Still time to decide.
