    He used some nickel rods that penetrated like a mofo. They actually melted the spider gears pretty well.

    Nickel, not zinc zinc is bad to smell while welding and torching...

    they're pure nickle rods, and i don't have any more right now, but what is there is welded very well, it is rated at 50,000 psi tensile strength, and set at about 75 amps, it melted the gears to one big puddle, i had to weld very quickly compared to something like a 6011, try it sometime, they're very cool to see

    6011 has 60,000 psi


    i would have used 7024 or if its a dc capable welder (which it looks like a TIG power supply) 7018

    It has AC/DC straight and reverse 200+ amps and 4 little toggle switches - I don't know what the hell they do, so they must not be important. Those rods had pretty high tinsile strength. Landon knows what it was...
