    Power Steering CJ-5

Anyone ever put power steering on an early short nose CJ-5? The 5 I helped rebuild has a pto winch making it hard to put on PS, just wondering what anyone else has done. TIA

I think the pto winch will have to go. Everyone I've seen that was converted had the winch in the raised position that the late model ones use.

maybe a scout or ford outside the frame box will work, but I think stock axles wouldn't give you enough room between the tire and frame.

Are there any power steering boxes with a pitman arm pointing forward? My dad is likes the pto too much to get rid of it. It really needs PS though, because it shakes like crazy when you try to brake on the street!!!
