Robert and Seth helped tonight. The engine is in and stabbed. Turns out that you DO need to put the clutch fork on before you stab it. Doh. But just 10 - 15 minutes later we had it back on there. We're becoming pros at stabbing.

Steering cooler and filter installed. Flem got about half of the wiring harness together. Seth drank lots of beer and helped us wiggle the engine. The Pete drank beer and passed tools. Thanks for the help guys.

We'll be out there tomorrow if anyone wants to come visit. Motor mounts are the big missing peice right now. Then running all of the fule lines. Mount the steering heim. Keep our fingers crossed for no surprises. Fill it with fluids and go turn some donuts with straight heads. No exhaust manifolds yet. Hopefully they'll be in by late next week so I can get it by the shop for installation and any tweaks.

Surprise when I opened the clutch slave, it included the push rod. One more part down. I ordered the slave hose from the Toyota dealer today. $27 and 10 days to get it in. I pulled the slave bracket off of the bus and copied it. Man, that made it way easier than starting from scratch again. 15 minutes and I'm ready to weld in the little tubing parts.... which I need to buy tubing tomorrow for it. Those tubes and two nuts welded in place and it's done. Motor mounts are all welded up. Trying to figure out how I can bolt them in place. Not sure if it's going to work. I might have to measure. Painted the steering heim mount. Need the two nuts for it. Made one mount for the fuel parts. Need two more. Buying steel and a few odd and end parts tomorrow.

Thanks Flem for more work on the harness. Got it close enough tonight to figure out the starter is hosed. Robbie was going to make a shocker and build a floor, but we ran out of time. I'm thinking sheet metal screws and a giant mud flap would be perfect. Built in boot.

    Yes, just like that.

I figured everyone would be surprised if I showed up with a floor. It's only been on the trail for about 5 - 6 years. Why put a floor in now?

Hey, it's not my fault you have Brandon Frasier's face burned into your mind.....

I tried linking other pictures, but the work filter kept blocking them. BOO again.
