    Time to order fuel pickups...

On a side note, my manifolds finally came in. Dicks.
So did my clutch/brake lines. I think they may have a wrong fitting though.

I'm hoping to do more work on it next week before the Gilmer trip. I have a friend with a Sammy that may come if he doesn't go to AR next weekend.

Here is the latest addition of trying to stay away from custom parts and opt instead for off the shelf replacements. The soft hose from the clutch master hardline to the clutch slave cylinter. The master and slave are both stock '70 Landcruiser parts. The hardline is a regular metric brake hose.

The soft line ordered is a stock Landcruiser brake line. NAPA part# 381269 $12.

Problem: This line does not have the inpointed seat necessary to match to the flaired hardline.

So I had to find an adapter. Bryan Hose had them. BrakeQuip* part#BQ41 $3 seals into the brake hose. This one seals correctly to the hose fitting.

Problem: The threads out are different than the threads in. On the Cruiser the threads are the same.

So I had to find another adapter. Bryan Hose had them. BrakeQuip* part#BQ42 $3 seals into the brake hose adapter. This one seals correctly to the hard line.

    http://www.brakequip.com/mfthread.html
PART NO. MALE THREAD FEMALE THREAD SEAT TYPE A B
    BQ41 M10 x 1 M10 x 1.25 X 12mm 13mm
    BQ42 M10 x 1.25 M10 x 1 X 12mm 13mm

I bought extras of both for my Cruiser, but I still think there's a standard soft line out there that would prevent having to buy the adapters. So this will work for now and the bus will be back on the road this week.

*No matter what Jimmy, the certified brake hose specialist at Bryan Hose tells you, it's BrakeQuip, not Brake Quick.
    Me: How is that spelled?
    Jimmy: Exactly how it sounds.
    Me: B R A K E Q U I C K?
    Jimmy: Yes.

Me (later on Internet looking for Brake Quick): No. BrakeQuip

    FAIL.
