    The Mighty Mazda...

    broke down.

I opened the oil fill cap and noticed that the rocker arms were not moving. I then took off the valve cover and had my boss turn over the motor. The chain spins, but the cam doesn't. The little pecker on the end of the cam that goes inside the timing gear sheared off.....

I thought it would never happen. Oh well, I needed to find a crappy lifter anyway.

A few years. What does that have to do with anything? A little see sized nub sheared off the end of the cam. Is that some normal problem? Ever heard of it happening before? The lifters came on a remanned head also.

See the key way with no key in it?
The lifter was easy to spot as well. It was stuck closed. I should be getting some from a friend today so I can get it back together and drive it into the shop for the SWAP.
