well karl, jerry and me got the new motor in jerry's truck broke in the cam and its running great. Plus we lost a socket inside the frame rail replaceing the motor mounts. what the heck is up with the chevy motor mounts anyway.

yes i did pull the heads the block seemed to be worn a little weird from the pistons. in some places you could still see the crosshatching and then in some it was worn off it was kinda patchy. never seen anything like that before.
where the hell are you doign this mike?

Most of the time the piston will wear an oval hole in the cylinder (side to side) may have small lip a top which will give you an indication as to how much wear there really is. If it's piston slap you'll here it and the skirts will show it. drop the pan and look if you really think its piston slap. as long as there is now scoring in the cylinders it's probably normal wear.
i did all this work in the back of my truck. the place i am living says no working on cars yeah right. plus i did not care that much and i took the block to byran iron and metal and the guy in the crane deal pick it up and threw it like a base ball. and this i got my $2.80 for it. but the heads are in super shape so they are being sold thanks
Mike your grammar is super, as your dad would say!!
