Friend of mine back home has like a 85 K5 blazer on 39" boggers. 60 front/14 year, hydro steering, built 350, all the little extras. It will flat out get it. Gotta love the fullsizes sometimes. Even fullsizes need love somtimes.

Here is some good info on the SYE-

A SYE kit that shortens the shaft from the lone bearing to the first universal joint will address runout, as well as oscillation. Those are occurring in every tcase of New Process/New Venture origin. The vibration is a side effect.
When you shorten the shaft and add a solid yoke, the driveshaft supplied should be a double cardan design, which adds an extra universal into the equation to relieve driveline angle misalignments that occur when one lifts the vehicle and the axle moves further from the tcase. 15 degees is maxing out the slip yoke design with only two universals to phase. A three inch lift is fast approaching that 15 degrees.

Here is an install writeup- install is the same on XJ and TJs. Me and Matt both run the RE on our rigs.
