I would have agreed with you before the turbo, but as long as I stay between 2000 and 2300 the boost catches up quickly and maintaining speed up a hill is no problem. As it stands right now, 65 mph is doing 1750 rpm, and I lug the engine if I push on it. The EGTs rise, so there's plenty of fuel, but the exhaust velocity isn't high enough with that low of a engine speed. Above 2300, it's no problem topping out the boost with just a little more gas. I want an intercooler, badly.

    2000-2100 @ 65 mph should do nicely.

Doesn't your transmission have one of those little switches that makes it so the motor will run about 2500 rpm at 65? Then when you're unloaded you can hit the switch again and cruise at 1750.

WOW! I forgot all about that. Duh! The old Raptors were always wired wrong, but the Art-Carr was wired properly, so the lockup circuit that switch runs off isn't even in the loop anymore. I need to put that back in.

The mullet guy avatar made me feel like I was looking at the online sex offender database every time a page loaded, so I figured it was time for change.
