i use PopUp Killer. it works ok but is kinda slow in doing its job. Mark Shipman suggested using Mozilla, which is a free web browser you can get online and it automatically kills pop ups itself.

or you can add some sites to the restricted sites under internet explorer. there are only two basic popups addresses that come up on my computer. one of them is like ad.doubleclick.net and the other is like ad.doubleclick.netware...or something like that. i dont get but maybe three or four popups a day by adding those to the restricted sites.

ok, so i got REALLY tired of pop ups and spam email, not even pop up killer nor IE blocker would stop them, so i finally took mark shipman's advice and downloaded Mozilla, and it is AWESOME. no more pop ups (not even on porn sites ) AND no more spam email thanks to the built in email program with spam/junk mail blocker. i'm happy. oh, also found a really cool and easy to use FTP program...which i put to use just a min ago. i definately recommend Mozilla to anyone tired of popups.

I use the google pop up blocker. Workes like a champ and has a little google box so you can search anytime.
