    socket

    I am looking for a socket that has 4 prongs on the end about 7/8 to 1'' and is used to tighten a threaded sleeve on the upper ball joint stud on a front axle under my jeep. if that makes any sense and you might have that socket let me know cuz ho reilly doesnt have it to rent neither does vatozone and the mac tools guy has it but it ismuch dinero

    I made a tool to do it out of 3/16 plate. Worked out great. Just made a cross, welded it together and used a crescent wrench to loosen or tighten.

    well... i actually got one from the snap-on guy for 20 bucks i had to call him and chase him down in the truck and he ran my credit card on a cell phone so if anyone needs one later on i got it you can use it for 5 dollars an hour

    No, the big nut on a spindle takes huge channel locks.

    or posibly the tool that is made for it and costs like 6 dollars, and works a lot easier, especially when the old owner never repacked the bearings.
