just go to a junkyard and pull one off a 1 ton 4x4

GMs and Dodges came with passenger side diffs. Fords came with drivers side drops.
Good luck!

any specific year i should look for? anything better on the new ones than on the old ones besides the knuckles? whats a decent price to pay?
I'd pay up to 800 dollars for a D60 in decent condition.
If you look hard enough and scour the boonies and fields of south texas you could prolly snag one for 150 bux.
My gramps bought three blocks of land in a New Mexico ghost town and it had 3 abandoned service chevys on it. One was a 1ton the other 2 were 3/4s. I personally couldn't pay over 800 for an axle.
that eight hundred sounds a little steep to me i havent really priced them, but for that much it better have some kind of traction aid. You could get a 44, with warn lifetime chrome moly shafts for that price.
He who dies with the most **** wins, after seeing your collection you are in the lead no doubt!
****... my axles have more than $800 each in them and they are stock... the rear still needs another $300-$500 in it and the front like $300 (which im doing for $50).... all those little things are gonna add up on any axle.. ask doug kieswetter
800 is low. They go for about 1000-1200 typically. I would only buy if it was 800 or lower. (i'm cheap)
A friend of mine bought warns for his 460 ford on 38s and he swears they don't do a damn bit of good.
Dang Cooper.
What axles do you have?
dana 30 and model 20 widetrack... but you throw in an ARB, gears, new yolks, better brakes, and one piece axles, and hub conversion... it adds up.. the only swap i would do is a 44 front... and that would take alot for me to do.. the 20 is staying right where it is... if it aint broke.. dont fix it... if i get to the point where i start breaking **** on every trip.. then i will swap something... other than that i think its a waste of time.
sounds good.
Are you gonna keep those axles when you go spring over?
yes... but actually i dont think im gonna do the spring over anymore... thought about it for awhile.. not really impressed with it.. ill do the u-bolt flip and maybe the shackle reversal (not sure if possible with sprung under) a little longer shackle and some TJ flares... ask people about randy cruses jeep from katemcy... sprung under with 35s and its the ****.... with arbs i dont really need the flex all that much... and with the 4 to 1 kit (soon) i got all the traction i need.
