Is there anywhere local to buy good CB antennas? I was thinking a 4' firestick, but I am open to suggestion. I need it by Tuesday.

There is a CB shop at 21 and 6 near the Conoco.
I hear firesticks aren't so good, but she has all kinds anyway.
You ever going to get me another hub?
or any big truck stop like Love's, Total, or QT will have them. That lady up there pissed me off. She charged me $40 to fix my Cobra 25LTD and another 20 for a Cobra 29LTD. the 29 worked the the 25 didn't. I take it back and she says I hooked it up wrong and blew it out. I explain to her that's impossible seeing how the thing was hooked up to a cigerette lighter w/ a 2.5amp fuse. The same lighter i used to power the 29 that did not blow. After two months to look at it again I ask her what's the deal. She tells me that the guy that works on them was in the hospital and can't sit up any more and that I can come pic it up. I said ****it and a month later I graduated and moved. Don't go there.
And the first time I went there she went on and on about how she liked my name and that she had never heard of it before. I call back and she's like what was your name like she had no idea who I was. *****!
I've bought a few antenna's there too - they have good stuff.Originally Posted by Chadnutz

a big 10' metal whip antennae is the best. K40's are OK. magnet base from Radio shack will work fine if it's calibrated correctly.
I would think a 10' whip would get cought on trees and crap on the trail. Is K40 a brand & are they standard stick antennaes. The reason I always got 4' firesticks in the past is that then they do not stick out above the truck and get cought on stuff.Originally Posted by Graystroke
