    How things work?

    Can someone help me understand what this guy did to this thing and how it works and exactly how its sprung?

    it appears to me to be some sort of really messed up twin traction beam welded together or somethin?!

    I can't see it real well, but I don't see any springs at all. Just a long bumpstop welded to the axle. Possibly a short coil spring held to the frame? Looks like a ramp champ. Not much real wheeling going on. But those are some sweet fender gaurds.

    wtf? i cant see any springs either. sure is alot of travel though, any one else notice the back tire is infront of the start of the ramp?

    edit: where did you find that pic? any way to get more info on that rig?

    i cant seem to find the website i found it on it was this website with this guys sfa s10 and **** i will look for it when have time, and that was the only pic of it that i remember...

    That might be the kind of twin something beam setup the winner of the 2003 Top Truck Challenge (hummer looking buggy thing) has. Basically, the way it works is as lets say the front left tire is forced up, the left rear tire is forced down. The hummer thing had airbags though, that ranger doesnt have anything outside. It looks like he has something angling in though, could it be something like a gas powered shock mounted inboard?

    Yes I was thinking that those were air shocks pointing in;

    looks like a one-link (trailerball, graderball, whatever) setup but your picture sucks

    just realized that I can't figure out what that axle is...like a narrow rockwell without a pinion? Maybe a tractor axle?
