I am thinking about buying a Dodge Dakota
What I know about it now:
It is a 4x4 1987 Dodge Dakota, single cab short bed
It has a flat bed and an approx 4" lift with 33s on it
It is a manual transmission
It runs decent
It belongs to a friend of mine from high school and he bought another toy and is selling this... This was his daily driver for 2 years
$800
Bad
Broken cv axle
He said it "smokes" a little, but i dont think it is a big issue
I will post pictures later after i go look at it and talk to him more

For that price (and depending on which engine and exactly what is about to go wrong with it) I don't think you could go wrong and it would definitley be out of the ordinary. If it's a 318 in it, it would be peemp for sure.Originally Posted by sam_hodnett

Its a V6, I do like this truck a lot, its a neat little rig,
no such thing as a '84 dakota. it would be referred to as a rampage or something to that extent.
IF and big IF your lucky it will be a TBI 3.9L, AX15, np231. which wouldn't necessarily be a bad combo to build a rig off off.
but the rest of the truck is ugly as sin, and sucks.
you may think that $800 isnt a bad deal, but i doubt you could sell it for that much. you better hope it has the title, or it aint worth ****.
if it is carb'd and not a 87+ dakota. run far, far away.
You are correct, it is an 87, dont know why i thought that it was an 84
