    more school busses!

    forkin sweet:
IH diesels, allison autos, "ran when parked" and will probably go for under $100 apiece
I figure those things have about 20 rows of seats. With six rugrats per row at about 100 pounds apiece, that sucker should comfortably carry 12,000 pounds. Cut off and seal the cab behind the first row of seats, put in conversion van benches and a bumpin system, platform everything behind it to carry 2 rigs, add hubcap spinners and neon and she's ready to go!

Where are they located at, it sounds like a good investment, you could even rig it up so the bus could tow another trailer and carry even more rigs.

do you have to have a cdl to drive one of those or can you just not carry passengers for hire.

    not something...exactly
actually I'd want a wall behind the first bench, then a storage compartment where the second bench would be (for generator, tools, etc), then platform behind that, just long enough for 2 rigs....get rid of all that overhang.
the stacks are a nice touch...but mine would be chrome with those neon tips
and have some chrome trucker girl mudflaps
Think my neighbors would mind that in front of the house?
    Dunno about the CDL license...Doug?

I would imagine you'd need a CDL for something that large, but since you're not technically driving a bus with passengers I don't know if it would be the same CDL Steven and I (and others) have from BusOps...

    ooh...they're 72 passenger busses...that's 2 light rigs tops.
Maybe cut it long enough for one rig and flat tow another?
Or maybe I should get back to work...

    btw nice sig, freddy

Yes you would have to have a CDL for it. ANy bus that size (it is probably the legal limit of 45 feet long) you have to have a license for. Unless it has a bathroom and then sometimes it can be considered a recreational vehicle and you can get out of DOT inspections and such.

Not like I would know or anything
