    CJ-5 3 Speed Tranny Question

    Is there anybody in town that knows something aobout this tranny that is willing to come over some time this week and go for a drive with me to help me figure out what is wrong with it. The best way I can describe the symptoms is that it whines when driven and you can feel a roughness in the shifter. Thanks in advance for any help.

    My `84 F150 w/ a 4 speed OD tranny whined ALL the time, it wasnt that anything was broke, it was just how the gears had worn in, probably the same thing w/ yours. The whining went away in mine when i had it rebuilt.
