I have spent next to nothing for the front lift, only because I haven't done one of those massive IFS lifts where you have to relocate the front diff. As a matter of fact, the front is as high as it goes without having to do so.

Mine rode better after I SAS'ed it then before. Seemed to handle better to, if you can believe that. And remember, I put almost 25K miles on the thing after I sas'ed it. Hell, I've thought about sas'ing my old POS blue chevy and converting it to 4wd.

so true...its amazing something that GM designed on a computer actually rides and handle worse than something you fab up with a tape measure and welder...ah technology

well the thing is...when it comes off the assembly line...its nice and plush and tight.

then it goes into the real world....hits some drunk curbs...couple of pot holes and knocks the damn thing outta wack...and its no longer like it was....kinda like college...anything fresh is better...

mine still rode like a 4x4, hard, bumpy and loud...a lot stiffer after the SAS tho.

i second the notion that you keep the mustang as a DD and SAS the Taco.

if you're gonna call this a "buildup" thread you're going to have to do a lot better than rock sliders and 1/2" coil spacers for IFS.

Bought, built, and welded on the sliders yesterday. The entire event, including the trip to Bolt and Steel, took about 6 hours. Thanks a lot to Chadnutz for his time, welder, and expertise. Here are a few pics. I'll put the rest up later in my member rigs album.

    Enjoy...

Steel is expensive as crap right now. 2" square tube (3/16" thick) is 4.19 a foot, plus a couple feet of 3" (.25" thick) flat bar cost 106 DOLLARS! Amazing. Sometime over the break I will rustoleumize these sliders and paint them black.

    Pictures are here.... http://www.tamor.org/members-rigs/Brandon_Yaw
