    ZJ Rear Axle Swap

Thinking about getting rid of the dana 35. Anybody know where an 8.8 is? I'll have to change the gearing either in the 8.8 or the 30 up front but thats not too bad. Suggestions?

mid cities (a junkyard on jefferson here in dallas) has about 5 disc brake 8.8"s. you wont get 'em for $30 but they're there. their neighbor, Awesome Auto, has a few drum brake ones but you'll have to piece one together since i didnt seen any complete.

How much are they worth? So I know if I'm getting ripped off.

good drum brakes, 4.56s, well-built (extra clutches) Ford Motorsports posi, completely rebuilt about a year ago...

Not really on a strict timeframe. When are you swapping out yours? I'll have to change the gearing in the 8.8 or the 30. I don't really want to be doing 3k at 70 on the highway, so i'll probably change the 8.8. How hard is it to change the drums to rotors?

You'd just have to find a disc brake setup off another 8.8 or make your own. If you're going to change the gears anyway then you probably don't want mine. Pay someone a "finder's fee" or go to Dallas yourself and get one from Awesome Auto Salvage.
